As per the information received from Yahoo!Life: Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, the newest true crime docuseries on Netflix, tells the tale of the wealthy South Carolina family the Murdaughs. In Murdaugh Murders, the family of litigators is investigated for a number of incidents, including a fatal boating accident, as well as the circumstances leading up to the deaths of matriarch Margaret “Maggie” Murdaugh and her son Paul in the summer of 2021.
The trial of Alex Murdaugh, who is accused of killing Maggie and Paul but has maintained his innocence and pled not guilty, is also partially covered in the television show. The documentary also features Buster, the additional son of Maggie and Alex Murdaugh, as a fourth Murdaugh family member.
Before killing his mother and brother, Richard Alex Murdaugh, sometimes known as Buster, was employed by his father’s law firm and was enrolled in law school at the University of South Carolina, which was somewhat of a family tradition. He was later dismissed, nonetheless, due to a plagiarism scandal.
Buster’s family reportedly paid $60,000 to ensure that he would be readmitted to the college in order to finish his law degree, as reported by the local paper The Post and Courier. But he hasn’t started studying again yet. Butch Bowers, the Murdaugh’s attorney, stated that the client had temporarily shelved his plans to attend law school. He won’t be starting school in the fall or the spring, according to the plan.
Where Is Buster Murdaugh Now?
Currently, Buster resides in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, with his partner, attorney Brooklynn White. What he does for a living is unclear. He testified as a first witness for the defense in his father’s trial in February of this year, which means that he spoke on his father’s behalf. In his testimony, he stated that Alex was “heartbroken” over the deaths of Maggie and Paul.

Alex Murdaugh was given two consecutive life sentences by a judge on Friday, March 3, 2023, for the murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.
According to a witness during the sentence at the Colleton County Courthouse, which was quoted by the New York Post: “Buster did quite well up until the moment the cameras were removed, at which point he passed out. He was sobbing out of control. He was finally seated in a car by the uncles.”
