By announcing it will soon host all four seasons of the legendary Cartoon Network series Ben 10, Netflix is following its recent trend of licensing vintage animated series from networks like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
The Return of Ben 10
Ben 10 is a Cartoon Network series created by Man of Action that debuted in 2005. It centers on a young boy named Ben Tennyson who, while on summer vacation with his grandfather Max and cousin Gwen, finds a mysterious alien device called the Omnitrix in the woods and uses it to change into various aliens. Its readdition to Netflix, scheduled for June 5th, now only pertains to Netflix in the United States.
Its re-admission to the Netflix US library is also not anticipated to impact its streaming availability on HBO Max (soon to be known as just Max), where all four seasons are currently streaming, as well as the more recent 2016 series in its entirety.
After over eight years, Ben 10 is finally streaming on Netflix in the country. Until the series was removed in 2014, resurfaced for a brief period with only two seasons, and then was permanently removed; according to the catalog maintained by NewonNetflix.info, Netflix US had all four seasons available.

In reality, several other Cartoon Network shows were dropped in the years that followed, including Ben 10. The final ever episode of a Cartoon Network program left Netflix in the US in February 2022. With new management at Warner Bros. Discovery choosing to license out some of their series, that trend now appears to be changing.

The announcement coincides with many Netflix pick-ups of the Warner Bros. Discovery animation. We’ve seen the likes of Scooby-Doo since April! Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and The Batman are now available on the service. Both Tom and Jerry Tales seasons will be released in June; it has also been confirmed.
