After A Brief Global Outage Meta’s Instagram Is Back Online

According to CNN: The majority of Instagram users are now able to access the photo-sharing app again after a global outage, Meta Platform announced on Thursday. It also added that a several-hour-long technical issue has been rectified.

“Early evening, Instagram was unavailable due to a technical problem. As soon as we could, we got this rectified for everyone,” Instagram tweeted.

At the height of the outage, Downdetector, a company that monitors outages, recorded more than 53,000 instances of users being unable to access Instagram. The website gathers status updates from many sources, including user-submitted platform issues.

Meta’s Instagram Is Back Online

Downdetector said that the number of complaints of outages in the United States had dropped to below 1,000 while Instagram was going back online.

Less than 100 faults were reported in the UK, India, Japan, and Australia, according to the outage-tracking website.
