Rupert Murdoch, a multibillionaire media magnate, is getting ready for his fifth wedding. The 92-year-old businessman announced his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith in a piece that appeared in one of his own magazines, the New York Post, on Monday 20 March 2023.

Murdoch revealed to gossip journalist Cindy Adams that he first met his future wife in September while she was a guest at his Bel Air, California, vineyard, the Moraga Estate.

Murdoch admitted that he was “extremely apprehensive” during their brief romance. “I feared to date because I knew it would be my last,” she said. It ought to be. I’m content.
