According to TMZ, Bynes was spotted wandering alone and in her pants on Sunday19 march, the morning before flagging down a car and informing the driver that she was recovering from a mental episode.
After the She’s the Man actor reportedly dialed 911 on her own, it was determined that she needed to be placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold after she was escorted to a police station.
According to a source, Bynes was receiving care, which would probably continue over the next few days. The actor was unhurt throughout the psychotic episode, the source additionally informed TMZ.
A person placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold should either “be freed, sign in willingly, or be put on a 5250 hold after a 72-hour period,” according to the Los Angeles Times. The 72-hour hold will probably lead to the disclosure of Bynes’ situation.
The actor had been scheduled to speak in front of the audience at 90s Con on Saturday, March 18 but canceled on March 19 citing illness.
2013 saw the appointment of a conservator for Bynes. Before a judge ended the legal guardianship in March 2022, the control lasted nine years.

Bynes’ petition for termination “said that she has consistently tested negative for illicit drugs, has taken care of her mental health, and that her psychiatrist has asserted she has the competence to give informed permission to any sort of medical treatment,” according to a report from Sky News.
According to Sky News, the actor’s parents Lynn and Rick Bynes supported the decision to end the conservatorship.
Once the conservatorship was lifted, Bynes released a statement in which she said: “In the previous few years, I’ve worked hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I’ll continue to put my wellbeing first in this next phase.
“I am excited about my upcoming endeavours—including my fragrance line—and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
