According to New York Times, On January 27, 2021, Corky lost away due to the problems brought on by COVID-19. It is believed that he became infected with the coronavirus while safeguarding residents of Chinatown from anti-Asian violence while he was on patrol with neighborhood watch organizations in Chinatown. At his departure, he had 73 years under his belt.
