Minor injuries were received by employees of Lloyds Bank in Berkshire during a “distressing” robbery, according to police. Around 8.30 am on Wednesday, Thames Valley Police were called to the Woodley branch on Crockhamwell Road (January 19).
Immediately after arriving on the scene, officers made an immediate arrest of a male. Another criminal, who is believed to be male, fled.
During the incident, three employees were hurt, but they didn’t need to go to the hospital. It was thought that no weapons had been utilized.
Authorities are looking for witnesses and think that a dark-colored Vauxhall Zafira and a blue BMW fled the scene when the incident occurred. While police investigate the incident, there will be a greater police presence in the area.
According to Detective Inspector Iain Watkinson of the Bracknell and Wokingham CID, the incident’s victims would have gone through a painful ordeal. Investigators and uniformed police officers are on the scene meticulously investigating the situation, assisting people involved, and providing the neighborhood with assurance.

Superintendent Andrew Cranidge, the local police area commander for Bracknell and Wokingham, stated: “I realize this incident may be troubling, but we believe there is no greater threat to the community. We took action right away, rapidly made one arrest, and are continuing our investigation.”
“While investigators are conducting their inquiries, there will be a greater police presence in the area. Anybody with questions or concerns is welcome to meet with one of our officers in uniform.”
