According To Fox News– Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly “stunned” that King Charles III has ordered them to leave their royal residence in the United Kingdom because it is now “required” for “someone else” — Prince Andrew.
Omid Scobie, the author of “Finding Freedom,” asserted as much on Wednesday, 1 March 2023, claiming that “at least two members of the royal family” were outraged by the news.
According to a source, Harry and Meghan have until early summer to leave, according to Scobie’s report for Yahoo! News. They had only a few weeks at first, but now they have at least till the coronation.
We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been asked to leave their house at Frogmore Cottage, a representative for the couple’s Archewell Foundation told Fox News Digital.
A representative of Buckingham Palace did not immediately answer a Fox News Digital request for comment.
Scobie claims that the king excommunicated the couple because he was “spitting angry” following the publication of Harry’s incendiary memoir “Spare” in January. The choice was allegedly made “shortly after” the book’s release. A “historic low” in terms of communication has been reached between Harry and his family, according to Scobie.
A friend of the couple told the newspaper, “It all feels extremely final and like a horrible punishment. It appears the family intends to harm them out of the picture for good.”
Since they resigned, the British royal and the former American actress have complained about the monarchy. Harry has already discussed how since leaving the UK, he has grown distant from both his father and older brother, Prince William.

Harry, 38, criticized the royal press team’s operations in a six-part Netflix documentary that was made available in December. He also discussed how his relationship with William, 40, and the rest of the royal family fell apart. Markle, 41, spoke of wanting to terminate her life as she suffered from the negative news attention in the UK. Harry later revealed more personal emotional pain and sour family animosities in his memoir.
The Sussexes’ “sole suitably secure sanctuary in the country” is said to be the estate, which is located five minutes on foot from Windsor Castle. As they left their positions as senior royals in 2020, the duo was no longer under the country’s police protection. The residence, which is protected by the Royalty and Specialized Protection Unit, served as the family’s personal hideaway while visiting the UK.
The media publication mentioned that the Sussexes had private security detail. Nonetheless, royal protection officers offer the royal family an additional layer of security that is required, including access to “critical intelligence information.”

2018 saw Queen Elizabeth II present the couple with the property as a wedding gift. The Sussexes only spent a short period of time there before they left their position as senior royals because the house needed improvements.
According to royal accounts for 2019, $3.2 million was spent on the house’s renovations, which included structural work, rewiring, and new flooring. In exchange for their royal escape, the pair pledged to repay the money. A representative for the couple said in September 2020 that Harry had reimbursed the British taxpayers for the money used to renovate the home.
Harry had given money to the Sovereign Grant, which is public money that belongs to the royal family, according to a spokeswoman for the couple. According to him, the donation “completely covered the costs of Frogmore Cottage’s renovation.” When the Sussexes visited the UK, it was stated that Frogmore Cottage would remain their residence.
The Sussexes’ plans to leave their California property in May are currently unknown. The coronation of the monarch and his queen consort, Camilla, is scheduled for May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. 2,000 guests will receive invitations next week, the source claims. The eviction letter was followed by “no alternative accommodation being offered,” according to Scobie.
But King Charles is “sticking firm to his decision” despite the dangers and the possibility that his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet won’t be allowed to visit in the future, according to Scobie. I’ve been informed that the monarch has shifted his priorities.
A royal source informed Scobie, “I think the king is tired of the whole thing.”
The source claims that Charles personally made the disgraced Duke of York an offer to live at Frogmore. Additionally, it is rumored that the king is paying for his younger brother’s private security, which is thought to cost close to $4 million a year.
According to reports, William thought about the seven-bedroom house and “had questions.” The Prince of Wales eventually settled on Adelaide Cottage, which is close by, for his wife and three kids.
The king, 74, won’t abandon his younger sibling, 63, “homeless or impoverished,” despite ejecting the Duke of York from Royal Lodge, the former residence of the queen’s mother, according to a source who recently spoke with The Telegraph.
In April, Andrew’s almost $300,000 annual stipend will allegedly be reduced, which, according to acquaintances, will make it more challenging for the duke to maintain the 98-acre Windsor estate. His Military pension and a “large bequest” from his deceased parents are his main sources of income.
Because of his contentious relationship with the late American businessman and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew withdrew from his role as a royal in 2019. He lost his honorary military titles as well. The queen forbade him from using the title “his royal highness” in formal contexts and withdrew him from his honorary leadership of several charities, known as royal patronages, before her death in 2022.
