Amber Laign is a businesswoman and massage therapist from the United States. She was born on September 6, 1974, in California to American parents. She grew up in Lebanon, New Jersey, where her family moved when she was a young child. She’s famous for being seen in the media alongside her partner, Robin Rene Roberts.
They’re a same-s*x couple and both are part of the LGBTQ community. Amber owns a company called Plant Juice Oils and is a licensed massage therapist. She’s known for being skilled in Deep Tissue Massage and Trigger Points. Recently, she became widely talked about in the news because she was diagnosed with Bre@st C@ncer.

Robin Roberts and Amber Laign Relationship Timeline
Roberts said she and Laign went on a blind d@te in July of 2005 during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014. Roberts said of Laign that she “doesn’t really like the spotlight,” but that she is “very, very supportive.”
“She’s been right there beside me every step of the way,” Roberts said. In July 2020, the pair will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion, Roberts will reveal a private Instagram post by Laign describing how they first met.

After their second date, “butterflies” began to appear in Laign’s stomach.
“We had a second d@te soon after and I couldn’t believe how at ease I was with you as we shared each other’s lives sipping lychee and apple martinis,” she continued. “You left for Tahiti the following day and during that time apart I grew this feeling inside of me that still is very present today … butterflies.”
Roberts, who was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome in 2007 and received a bone marrow transplant to cure the rare blood disorder, wrote a celebratory post on Facebook at the end of the year.
Roberts wrote her gratitude to her doctors, family, friends, and sister Sally-Ann, who was also her donor, beside a photo of herself and her puppy. She went on to praise her “longtime girlfriend Amber,” marking the first time she has done so publicly, along with Laign and her s*xuality.
