After Being Given A Double Life Sentence For The Murder Of His Wife And Son, Alex Murdaugh Shaves His Head For A New Mugshot

After receiving two consecutive life sentences for the murders of his wife and children, convicted killer Alex Murdaugh shaved his head for his most recent mug shot.

The most recent mugshot was taken after the disgraced former attorney was arrested Friday at South Carolina’s Kirkland Reception and Assessment Center. He maintained his characteristic red hair for the majority of his murder trial and looks coldly ahead while donning a yellow jumpsuit.

According to Fox News, he will spend the next 45 days in a single cell at the Columbia institution, a level three prison with maximum security for male criminals. Murdaugh’s next housing location is still up in the air.

According to a source familiar with the situation, “He will be evaluated, and we will decide what his permanent placement will be.”

Murdaugh, “like other convicts,” will go through a battery of exams to determine his level of physical and mental health, as well as educational aptitude, according to the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

According to the South Carolina Department of Prisons, receiving a haircut is a regular protocol for new male detainees.

Following the assessment, Murdaugh will be sent to a maximum-security facility in the state to complete his double-life term, according to the SCDC.

A jury unanimously determined the 54-year-old guilty of murdering his wife Maggie, 52, and their son Paul, 22, on June 7, 2021, at their South Carolina hunting home after less than three hours of discussion.

Here is something we received on Twitter from Filmy Chuna:

As Judge Clifton Newman handed down two life sentences to Murdaugh on Friday morning, he maintained his composure.

When given the option to address the court, Murdaugh, 54, remarked, “I’m innocent.

“I would never hurt my wife Maggie or my son Paw Paw,” the speaker said.
